Frequently Asked Questions

Will your chair lift pads fit our lifts?

Yes — every pad is custom-made to your chair. We've built pads for Doppelmayr, Leitner-Poma, Riblet, CTEC, Yan, Hall, and legacy lift manufacturers. Send us the make, model, and a few measurements (or photos) and we'll fabricate to your exact spec.

How cold can the vinyl handle?

Our 18 oz industrial vinyl stays soft and flexible down to -40°F. That covers virtually every ski resort in North America, including the coldest interior mountains and high-altitude operations.

How long do the pads last?

A typical pad set runs 5–8 seasons with normal resort traffic, depending on UV exposure, weather, and rider volume. The 18 oz vinyl shell is the limiting factor — once the outer skin starts showing wear, it's time to swap. Inner foam is fully sealed and stays dry for the life of the pad.

What colors are available?

We stock 10 standard colors: black, navy blue, royal blue, red, burgundy, forest green, hunter green, yellow, orange, and gray. Custom color matching is available for larger orders — send us a Pantone or branding color and we'll source a match.

Can you do replacement pads for older lifts?

Yes. Replacement work for older lifts is one of our most common jobs — even when the original pad manufacturer is long gone. Send us a worn pad (or photos and dimensions) and we'll build matching replacements that fit the existing brackets and mounting hardware.

Do you handle full-resort orders or just single-chair replacements?

Both. We fabricate single-chair replacement pads for small swap-outs and full-fleet orders for resort-wide retrofits. Volume pricing kicks in on larger orders — contact us with your chair count for a per-pad quote.

How long does fabrication take?

Typical lead time is 3–5 weeks from approved specs, depending on quantity and current shop load. Pre-season orders (placed in spring or summer) generally ship faster than rush orders during the operating season. Let us know your install window and we'll work backward from it.

How are the pads mounted to the chairs?

Most chair lift pads mount via existing bracket holes or a sewn-in strap-and-buckle system. We'll match whatever mounting style your current pads use — bolt-through, hook-and-loop bracket, sewn pocket sleeve, or a hybrid. Your maintenance crew handles install with basic hand tools.

Where are the pads made?

Every pad is cut, sewn, and assembled in our Shelby, North Carolina facility. We've been custom-fabricating outdoor industrial textiles since 1994. American-made, factory-direct — no overseas sourcing, no dealer markup, no middleman.
